UCSD is my dream school, but I'm not confident about my SAT scores.
I'm applying biology major ( not bioengineering). Any chance for me to getting in?

SAT 1870 Reading 640 Math 710 Writing 520
SAT Subject Mathematics II 780 Chemistry 790 Biology M 770

GPA uw 4.0
Top 10%
No AP

I'm International applicant.
Not first generation university student

I won national prize in Biology Olympiad competition, provincial prize in Chemistry Olympiad, and many other academic honors in biology/chemistry field in my country.
Have experience in laboratory.

Is there any chance for my to get in?

Can you pay 55k.year? What’s your UC GPA and weighted GPA? Also, what kind of visa do you currently have?

Yes I can handle the fee. Besides, I think UC don’t have financial aids for international students. I am not studying in USA, so I don’t know what is my UC GPA nor have any kind of visa.

Unfortunately, your scores are fairly outside of the margins accepted, by close to 20%.

What’s bummer is that your ECs and your uw GPA is perfect, but your SAT is low for those.
UCI/UCSB/UCD might be high matches but your score is too low to be compensated by your GPA for UCSD.

My writing section lower my totally SAT score My friends said that some universities value Reading+Math more than totally score. Is there any chance that UCSD would be one of them?

I don’t think so. As far as I’ve noticed, the only ones that omit writing is CA state schools, not UC’s

No I didn’t mean omit writing score, I was talking about preference. Do you think UCSD value Reading+Mathematics more, considering UCSD shows R+M statistics every year?
