Chance of Merit scholarship at Bentley University

I am applying at Bentley early decision. I want to know what is the likelyhood that I recieve a merit scholarship, and if so which one?
I have a 97 weighted average
29 ACT
Class rank 19/650
Many EC activities.
Thank you so much

how much merit aid do you need?

ETA I just checked the Bentlley website. There are no guaranteed merit scholarships so really, there is no way to answer your question. The awards are given based on the strength of your application.

I’ll stick my neck out and say…if you really need merit aid, your ACT score of 29 is likely not high enough to garner very significant merit aid at Bentley.

Bentley generally gives a fair amount of aid. I would think you could qualify for the 1/3 tuition scholarship as your GPA and class rank is high. Not sure about the 1/2 scholarship award they offer. My son is also applying to Bentley but not ED. He would do EA if they offered it. Bentley is fairly expensive with a cost to attend close to $65K. So even with a 20K scholarship, you still need to cough up $45K a year. Then add to that a masters degree. You are talking a huge chunk of change.

Good luck and please let us know how you make out when you get their offer. It is very helpful to all of us.

MassDaD68 I will good luck

@finance4

is a 97 weighted the equivalent of a 4.1/4.2 weighted ? if so you should a least get the 1/3 of tuition merit.

There is a pretty good gap in stats between getting a 1/3 vs 1/2 merit. Bentley also seems to be fairly generous with financial aid if that applies.

also , if the EC’s have some community service work that is big with Bentley (as at many other schools.)

D1 is a junior. Can’t say enough good things about career services, internship opportunities, etc., as long as you do your part.

Thank you so much. That is really helpful. I do community service for cancer stricken children every week, but I do it for them, not so i can put in on a college app. @s3 Glad D1 loves it. I am applying ED

@MassDaD68 sorry forgot to tag you

Good luck to you @finance4 . Maybe my son will be joining you if you both decide to attend. btw. What state are you from? We are from MA.

@MassDaD68 NY. I wish you guys the best of luck! Keep me updated.

@finance4 Sure will. Just gonna be a waiting game.
