Chance of OSU Eminence scholarships and getting into Ivy/Top tier schools

Hi, I was wondering what the chance is that I could get the Ohio State Eminence scholarship? I’m a junior so I will apply next year. I have a 4.16 weighted GPA, and a 4.0 unweighted GPA. I have not yet taken the ACT or SAT, but I got a 1390 PSAT, and have been studying for the SAT; my last practice test was scored as a 1430. I am in the top 2% of my class. I am also in marching band(my band is consistently top 20 in the nation and we went to the Rose Parade)

Also what are my chances of getting into:
UPenn (Wharton)
UChicago
University of Michigan(LSA)

And what are my chances of getting significant scholarships from:
Florida State
University of Alabama
Michigan State
University of Iowa

You seem to be roughly within the feasible range for admission for Penn, Uchicago and UMich. That said you will have a better idea once your SAT and subject test scores are out. A 1430 on the SAT is rather low for either Penn or UChicago. The fact that you are from an underrepresented state might increase your chances a bit.
Are you planing to apply ED or EA to either school?

I think you have a good chance at Michigan if you pull up that SAT score. Keep practicing and take the June and Sept tests.

With the equivalent to a 32 ACT (look up the conversion rate to SAT) at FSU you will get an OOS waiver plus $2400 off/yr. At Alabama with the equivalent to a 32 ACT you will get free tuition (you still pay fees that are over $2000 yr, plus room, board, books, living expenses, etc).

I know nothing about Michigan State or Iowa.

Good luck and study hard to get the highest SAT you can. Hopefully you are taking AP/IB classes this year and next and a rigorous senior schedule. Doing so should help your chances at the higher tier schools.

They only give out about ~25 Eminence scholarships per year, which translates to about a 0.3% rate considering the freshman classes tend to be about 8,000 students.

So don’t get your hopes up.
