Just asking about merit scholarships, not need-based… I’m OOS and not sure how many they give, but do I have pretty good chances of getting the National Buckeye+ Maximus scholarships? Also do I even have a shot at Eminence Fellows?

Yes, to be considered for the national buckeye they want you to have a 29 ACT and for the maximus they want a 32 ACT. So you should get those two as long as you have a good class rank. As for the Eminence Fellows, you do have to go through a competitive interview process so it will be a lot more difficult to get this scholarship. But you should give it a shot!

My HS is ranked rly highly so and for that reason they decide not to do class rank, so I have no idea where I’m at. Would that make an impact? @Dmppp09
@d012939 they don’t technically know but they can estimate where you might be if a lot of others apply.

Acceptance letters are sent out in waves. Depending on how early you are accepted they come out about a week or two after the fractions is made. Scholarship info typically doesn’t get revealed until the latter months of high school.
We just visited appstatus.osu.edu using my son’s username and password, and it shows that he has been accepted. He sent in his application on Oct 16th for OSU - engineering major. He has not received a letter in the mail yet. But from what I’ve read in past years, I don’t expect to hear about any merit scholarships, Honors Program or Morrill scholarship in the acceptance letter. I’ll post when we hear anything about these items. I really hope they throw some money his way.
