Your test scores are pretty decent and volunteer activities are pretty good, as well.
Stats dont really stand out that much, so your personal statements should play an important role in your chances for the more competitive colleges, as well.
So,

Thanks, strakitar5, mflevity, and chronicfuture12!! Uh...GSW Fan, I don't understand. Do you mean I'll get into Cornell ED, or what?

Any other chances will be greatly appreciated!!

i think gsw is just posting "yeah youll get it" etc. and then posting his link in every thread he can find.

Hmm...probably. Oh well.

Cornell University- High Reach, but you're from washington, so mid-reach
- Yale University/Harvard College/Columbia University, etc...- definitely high reach
- Pomona College- idk
- University of Chicago- high match/low reach
- Carnegie Mellon University
- Johns Hopkins University- Mid-high match
- Georgetown University- match
- Brown University-mid-reach
- Carleton College
- Reed College
- University of Southern California- high match, since probably many people from washington'll apply there
- University of Washington (Honors)- safety, idk about honors though...
- Washington State University (Honors)- safety

Chance me: <a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/604938-ummm-let-s-see.html#post1061346687%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/604938-ummm-let-s-see.html#post1061346687</a></p>

In each section of your board scores there seems to be a weak link and your class rank isn't as great as it could be. So, in relative terms, you're not AMAZING as far as stats although you got some great ECs. But I'd say you'll need to rely on your recs and essays because there are a lot of other ppl with almost perfect board scores and similar ECs... its getting me anxious too.

Cornell University -high match/low reach

Yale University/Harvard College/Columbia University-high reach

Pomona College-high match/low reach

University of Chicago- reach

Carnegie Mellon University- high match

Johns Hopkins University- low reach

Georgetown University- low reach

Brown University- reach

Carleton College- match

Reed College -match

University of Southern California- match

University of Washington (Honors)- safety

Washington State University (Honors)- safety

Good Luck!

Thanks mizunopro and Dante09! There seems to be discrepancy on the University of Chicago and Pomona. Could anyone clarify for this? My stats seem to match up, but do other things (extracurriculars, etc)?

Also, just to clarify, a match is a 50/50 shot right? And a reach 25/75?

Dude you are so lucky that you have the option of not taking PE; I've had to for four years as a "state requirement" and it is not money well spent, lol. I would say that you have a good chance of getting into Cornell; b/c you applied ED it shows that you have commitment and your ec's rock. I applied ED to TCNJ: PLEASE CHANCE BACK!
<a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/605948-chances-tcnj-please-i-ll-chance-back.html%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/605948-chances-tcnj-please-i-ll-chance-back.html</a></p>

^ here's y u chicago and pomona are hard to chance:

chicago: the essays play a HUGE role in ur admission.
pomona: extremely competitive LAC; much harder to chance based on stats alone

watch out for reed college discrepancies too, the interview is a big part of their decisions

Thanks for the chances, raj91 and jerseygirl1991, and the clarification, anotherasian1234!

@jerseygirl1991: Well, technically I do have to do PE, but since I run track and cross-country, I can get waivers for them.

@anotherasian1234: I heard about the Reed one. And I hate interviews...I get so nervous!! Argh...hopefully it doesn't have to come down to that...

anyone else? Thanks.

I think you have a good chance for ED cornell , I think the thing that could hurt you is your EC's if anything. They're a little light/ordinary but they're still pretty good! I say you have a good chance!

I'm not familiar with some so these are the ones I know more about:

Cornell University- high match

Yale University/Harvard College/Columbia University, etc-reaches

Pomona College-match

University of Chicago-match

Carnegie Mellon University-match

Johns Hopkins University- high match

Georgetown University-high match

Brown University-reach

Chance back plz!

I think you've got a decent shot at almost all of them.... except maybe the high ivies, like Harvard, etc... Probably in for sure at UW and WSU, though. Good luck!

You better chance me back!!!! ;)
