Chance Please for Columbia, Penn, Dartmouth Hopkins and others

<p>Hey, I'm a freshman a Macaulay Honors College at Hunter college, or CUNY Hunter Honors, whose reputation has been raising over the past 5 years. I'm applying to Columbia, Johns Hopkins, UChicago, Penn, Darmouth, and Duke.</p>

<p>I have a 3.9 gpa first semester.
Intro to Biology- A+
Intro to Chem- A
Intro to Psych- A+
Honors Arts Class (Mandatory Arts Class from College)- A-</p>

<p>Second Semester
Finishing Biology, Chemistry and an upper level Psych Brain and Behavior Course and an Honors Immigration Class (also required by the the College). Also, all the labs for my sciences. </p>

<p>In high school, I had a 99.84 gpa weighted and around 96-97 unweighted.
SAT Score- 2190 Math- 670 (fail) Verbal-730 Writing- 790
SAT IIs- (ultimate fail): MATH IC- 660 US History- 690</p>

<p>I'm getting a recommendation from my honors Arts Class Professor, who prob knew me the best and was a Duke and Columbia Professor. </p>

<p>-My extracurriculars for freshman year include Peer Health Exchnage, a national program which teaches underprivileged kids about health. I currently lead a weekly drug workshop to 9th grade students about the dangers of drug abuse. I'm also getting a recommendation from the director of this program, a Columbia Alum.
- I am organizing a team for Relay For Life for money towards cancer research.
- I am at volunteer at Bellevue Hospital, and read to ill/ disabled children in the pediatric center.
Which schools do I have the best shots at and how should I go about writing my essay for these top schools? Any comments or help is much appreciated.</p>
