Assuming you are a senior, and AU is your dream school, I’d recommend applying as a Early Decision II student. AU accepts 70% of their ED applicants and I got in with lower credentials than you. 3.01 gpa w/ 26 on the ACT. According to my acceptance letter, it looks like they wanted me because of my recommendations, dedication to football, and academic determination (I rose from the bottom 25% to top 50% class rank in 3 years - REALLY). Since I don’t know how they look at regular applicants, my best bet is that you are qualified if you have great recommendations and essays. If you haven’t, apply now! Spaces are filling up quick. If you want to get into AU, apply as a ED2 student. Your chances will be higher! Keep in mind that if you’re accepted under ED2, you must go!!! 70% acceptance rate for EDs in a school that accepts 43% overall applicants sounds like a good chance. If you have any questions, contact me. Good luck!!!
