I have a 3.38 GPA with a 22 ACT, enrolled in state for high school and they received my last document on October 12th. I have had multiple jobs and joined a club my senior year. I am in a couple AP's and have only A's and B's on my transcript. This is my top choice in school and was wondering what my chances were...

Thanks

You have a fair chance of acceptance, but you are on the low range of the norm.

Craft your essay carefully its the other “important” criteria for acceptance.

The deadline for prioirty applications is tomorrow.

I think it’s roughly a toss up for you to be accepted to MSU. A 3.38 and 22 are both on the low end of the middle 50%, and I think MSU is 23-28 so 22 is not even listed in the middle 50%. I think MSU will end up deferring you with your statistics. Also, I think it depends on your class schedule and high school. If you attend a MSU feeder, that would help you out a lot in the process. If I were you I would apply to GVSU and maybe a CMU or WMU. You will easily get into CMU and WMU, and I think GVSU would accept you. At GVSU you would also be in the bottom 25% but I think there is a higher chance of acceptance than MSU.

Both your ACT and GPA are in the bottom 25%. Deferral and possible acceptance with a great senior year. Try to get your ACT up or take the SAT.
