Chance, please?

The OP has quite an impressive resume. May I just point out that NHS is actually National Honor Society, not HonorS. There is no “S” at the end of the word Honor for this particular organization. I know it really doesn’t matter…just thought I’d mention it.

Retake the ACT, it cant hurt. As-is I think you have a decent shot- nice ECs, with good essays I think you would probably be admited but no guarantees. Also, a slightly better chance ED- slightly.

My honest opinion, you’re doing fine with the ECs and showing passion and what not, but your ACT puts you a little bit beneath most other RD applicants. If you’re doing early decision, don’t worry about it. You’ll be fine and I’d say you have a fairly good shot of getting in. If not and you’re waiting it out til March/April, definitely get that up to at least a 32 or a 33 (the latter is possible, trust me.) Try the SAT and if its terrible then you never have to send it. If you don’t you’re wasting an opportunity which COULD be the little push you need. Not saying you couldn’t be accepted as it stands, but you never want to leave a weakness on your application. You get about a minute to impress these people and you want yourself to come as a well-rounded, “complete” individual. Best of luck ;)
