I am applying to LSA, and am hopefully retaking the ACT in September if I get a stand by position.

Ehh, I’m thinking your honors/AP classes are kinda nubbish. Do you go to a small school where only 4 AP/3 honors classes are offered (because then it’s fine), or did you just choose not to take the APs and honor courses? Your GPA is fine, but you’re only top 25% with a 3.85? Ouch. 28 ACT is okay, but it’s kinda pushing it.

Uhhhhh I’m gonna say low reach. Apply early and good luck!

There are lots of AP courses and such that are only available to kids in a special program at our school that you can only get into freshmen year.
I could have taken another AP last year but didn’t realize that it was available to juniors, dropped the ball on that one.

I am definitely applying early and hopefully going to retake the ACT and get a higher score.
Thanks

Well a UM GPA of 3.85 is great, but your rigious course load may be on the low side ( not sure how they will take it, depends on what/ how courses offered at your school). Being in top 25% percent with such a high UM GPA may indicate much competition at your school attending UM ( such as top 10 or even 5 percent). Though I’m not even sure how large your school is etc…
I would say you have a average to slight below average chance.

I think you have a pretty good shot. They don’t need everybody to load up on tons of APs. You have a few APs, and have showed that you can utilize your time.
