Is college fun at a local commuter school?

lol I'm jk. I just went up to a CSU in my city and it was dead quiet, though it being a friday night might account for that.

tell her to take the ACTs...easier..and better chance of getting in..

If she is in state then it is a slight reach but very do-able with some luck, if she is OOS I wouldn't even bother applying her. Her SAT and SAT II scores are very low for Cal students except the spanish course. Her GPA is high but that is heavily dependent on what type of school she goes to. don't get her heart set anywhere in paticular

wait some ppl keep saying dont send the math iic, i was under the impression that all ur sat scores i and ii go out at the same time, regardless of which u wanted to send and which u dont

ur right, but they'll only look at the best 3 i think.

we had a discussion about this in our american history class the other day.
it actually used to be that you could pick and choose every score you sent. now, it has changed so that they all get sent, which is very unfortunate.

they actually want only 2 sat ii's now, not 3
yeah it's interesting how they won't let us pick which sat's (i and ii) we want to send now...i think i read an article that said they're doing this because choosing which scores you want to send favors wealthier people, who can afford to retake the sat i and ii as many times as they wish and send the best scores, while less wealthy people can afford to take the tests only one or two times and do not have the choosing advantage...but i don't think the new policy is really too bad, as colleges only look at the highest scores, which are the ones you would've sent anyway
