<p>Hey guys, just wanted to ask for a chance. Gonna be a senior next year and I wanna figure out what parts of my application need some more padding</p>

<p>The schools I'm interested in:
The Ivies (Don't really care which one, just want to get into one. It's more about the experience for me)
UC Berkeley
UNC Chapel Hill</p>

<p>Now, I know these are all really tough schools to get into. I have "safe" options planned out already, but those aren't really important.</p>

<p>So, about me:</p>

<p>Academics:
Ton of AP/Honors classes (If its available, I've taken it)
Honor Role all three years
4.5 Weighted GPA, 4.0 Unweighted
CFA lifetime member (not quite yet, but it's almost surely going to happen)
2290 SAT score
Currently rank 1 in class</p>

<p>EC:
Somewhere around 100 hours of community service, mostly with Red Cross (probably going to be a bit more soon)
School orchestra concert master
Local youth symphony member/concert master
School writing club president
Link Crew
Member of school energy academy
Summer internship with PG&E (local utility company)
Work experience during school year</p>

<p>So, how does it look guys? I'm really kind of scared because I feel like my ECs are a bit thin and my SAT is a bit on the low end for these schools. Chance me?</p>

<p>Oh, and I've seen the sticky, so I know the statistics. I just want to know if its more "you have same chance as every other qualified person" or more "you're just not qualified"</p>

<p>You definitely have a chance… Idk how many times you have already taken the SAT but you are super close to breaking 2300 so maybe go for it? Also SAT subject tests if you haven’t taken them already. I believe every school you listed requires them. Now you just have to write strong essays and cross your fingers. Good luck! :)</p>

<p>@korracarrot‌ Really? Because that would be pretty cool. UNC seems like a nice school from everything I’ve seen. Can I ask you how you know?</p>

<p>Trust me, I live right next to UNC and you would definitely be one of the most competitive applicants even out of state. Basically all my senior friends got in (and they pretty much drink all day)</p>
