S received his today in the mail. 2100 SAT 32 ACT 4.3 UC W GPA Northern California, excellent extracurriculars

Do you not get one if you’re undeclared? And is it based on ECs as well?

I’m in Inland Empire and I received one this morning via snail mail. I assume I’m in the LA sector so I’m guessing LA should have already came out.

@athens5 You get mail on Sunday?

@Andrew545 yeah, I live in a SDA area so no mail Saturdays but mail Sundays

Have any OOS applicants received the UCSB reception invitation or is this for CA residents only?

@mom2one98 I think that OOS students will get their letters later because the letters are being sent from Santa Barbara. The instate students are most likely getting theirs first because they’re closer.

I’m sorry if this is an ignorant question, but if we received this invite and we attend it, does it mean we have to attend Ucsb or is this just an event to persuade us to choose their school?

@Liljuju From the event website: “Our goal is to inform you
about the excellent opportunities for academic, personal and professional growth at UCSB so
that you can make an informed college choice.” So no you are not required to attend UCSB if you go to the event

Thank You so much @coconutproponent I just haven’t had the chance to go on their website

It’s basically a reception to inform applicants of their early acceptance. They essentially try to persuade you to come to ucsb so it’s not a declaration of intent at all.

Oh, I forgot to post my stats. Not great of stats SAT 1910, UC GPA 4.3, ACT 30, however I have 2000+ hours of volunteering and marketing/security analysis unpaid jobs.

has anyone in the bay area gotten theirs yet?

east bay to be more exact

I cannot wait. UCSB is one of my top schools! I really hope it isn’t like Chicago a couple years ago
