Chances: Acceptable Numbers?

Just the numbers - should I retake any tests?:

Unweighted GPA (school doesn't weigh or rank): 3.9 - hardest courses, rising senior.
Decent public high school - Silver in U.S. News rankings - class size about 400 each year.

SAT I: 2200 (1500 CR+M)

SAT II Literature: 660 (Should I ScoreChoice out?)
Chemistry: 780
Biology: 790
Math II: 780

ACT: 34 (31 Writing)

I'm interested in these combined M.D. programs:

Rochester - super selective it seems (near one percent)
Northwestern
University of Miami

No applicable in-state advantages.

Research/shadowing/officer + bunch of other subjective stuff - but I'd just like to know if my stats are adequate for application consideration, consideration for an interview invitation.

Thanks!

you will get in. Don’t get stressed out. You are a perfect candidate.

Thanks, I’d like some honest feedback.

I’m glad to see that you’ve listed rochester as one of your three choices! I will actually be going there in the fall, and found the campus and the program pretty great.

Anyway, Your SAT IIs and ACT look pretty good as do your gpa and extracurrics.
In my opinion, whatever its worth, you will get interviews at all three of the places that you have applied to (though I’m not as familiar with Miami).

You are a great candidate, but everyone there is gonna have pretty much the same stats and extracurriculars that you do. If you could do something this summer or first semester to set you apart, it would be good. If not, I still think you have a solid shot.

Weak writing. Good candidate for all except Northwestern.

It takes 50 kids out of thousands of applicants. Less than 1% accept rate. Its easier to get into Wharton and Harvard than HPME.

Its definitely worth a shot at nwestern, I think
but yea, they seem to be more test heavy than the others.

And remember, most of these programs have lower acceptance rates than Wharton and Harvard. The best idea is to apply to many of them.

i second that. make sure your essays stand out.
