anyone???

I think a lot depends on how many from your high school and your area apply…the school seems to have a huge population from New Jersey. Will be harder to get in this coming class because we’ve read (if accurate) they will cut back to a class of around 750. Get the CR score up if you can. Good luck.

I think next year’s class will actually be smaller than 750, seeing as that is the normal class size, but they also have to compensate for the 200 extra kids this year. So it will probably be smaller.

Well i do know that very few kids if any will apply to richmond in my school. Unfortuantly my CR score isnt going to go up. Fortunatly my uncle is a law professor there so im hoping that will help my chances

Our daughter is a freshman there (just started) and when she met with her advisor the other day he told her group the nickname for UR is “University of New Jersey at Richmond”. That seems to sum it up!

so im gonna guess that my chances now are very slim

Don’t give up. Apply and see what happens. :)

While a student at Duke years ago it was called “University of New Jersey-Durham.” A well-deserved title, I might add.

I really don’t know how unique, if any, UR’s Garden State presence is. I know nearly every college in Virginia and North Carolina has it’s fair share of students from N.J. Florida also is a big contributor to those two states. I still remember during my freshman year seeing a fellow freshman from St. Petersburg, Fla. seeing snow for the first time in her life and freaking out.

Oh, and my freshman roommate way back then was from, you guessed it, NJ.
