Your grades and accomplishments honestly seem good. I'm assuming that English is your first language- you said you went to a Chinese school. If it is tou should do well :)

Good luck!

do you go to school in beijing?
your stats are great. i hope u get in.

I'd say you have a good chance. From what I've seen, I think your interest in math is strong, from your SSAT and SAT score, and you're involved in many ECs. However, I believe that your essays and personal interests on the app will be very important, as they get many applications like you, and since the Asian-American pool is very strong in top preps and colleges, it might be harder for you. But you seem like a well-rounded student.

Congrats on the SAT... I took it too, in 7th.. but I was terrible at Math. :) I got in because of critical reading and writing. Are you going to Duke TIP, by the way?

Oh, and you're the only person on this board who is also applying to just Andover and Choate, like me :D

i think you have a really good chance at either .
for cty tho - where are you going ?
i've been going for like YEARS . ( baby cty , then jhu , then carlisle . and siena this year )

This are great stats! Good luck!

You have excellent stats. I think you have quite a good chance. I agree with what Olivia wrote, that your essays and interview will count for a lot, since the male Asian pool can be quite competitive, especially for those with an interest in maths or science. Still, you stats are outstanding, so I wouldn't worry too much. Good luck on 10 March! :) Which is in seventeen days, but who's counting? ;)
One other thing: You probably shouldn't post your full name on this website, just in case.

I agree with prettyckitty about posting your full name. This may not be a good idea because the public can read this. Anyhow, I hear many of the boarding schools' Admission people read these threads and can identify the applicant very easily based in the information they have posted that corresponds with their information on their application. I didn't even know that Admission Committees even read this website until recently.

interesting, ehh?

didnt think about that....do you know how to edit posts? (i'm very new to college confidential.)

i go to a public school in MA. As for CTY, last year was my Squirrel Year at Lancaster session 2. You should go there next year: it's really amazing. i'm going to try to take cryptology or math logic. also the SATs were for CTY too.

chinese school is just a 2 hour class that meets every sunday where we learn chinese.

thanks.
max.

They are not able to be edited after 20 minutes. Don't worry.

I gently reported it to the moderators. It should be removed soon.

Good luck =]

I'm not sure why you want posts deleted. I reported the other member's posts to remove his name from them (as minors should not be identified by name on this site). I didn't see your name mentioned.

Please PM me and give me details of what exactly you want deleted and why.

D'yer Maker said that I'm giving out too much dangerous information, but it was much too late for me to edit the posts.

Perhaps you and D'yer Maker should discuss off-line and decide to let him report the posts where you both agree there is "too much dangerous information".

I guess I haven't been paying as close attention.
