I know there is a lot of these but man am I nervous about getting into Berkeley. I am from the Bay Area and I really want to go to school somewhere near home and Cal would be perfect. I attended Arizona State for semester and have been at a CC since. I have applied to Berkeley, LA, and Davis but the only one I really want to go to is Berkeley. My overall college GPA is 3.71, however at my community college I have a 4.0. Unfortunately I got a 3.3 at ASU. My major is mass communications. My essays I think were pretty good, I was very happy with them. Extra curriculars are mainly just work as I am working 35 hours a week so I hope that they see this dedication. Which schools will I get into? Also which schools in the Bay Area would be good for me to apply to also. One other question, do we report the grades that we receive in the semester that I am taking right now?

Did you do any transfer agreements? Tag? Igetc? How many units did you do at ASU? How many units at CC?

Assuming in-state, completion of IGETC and major requirements:

UCLA/Cal: Safe match
UCD: Safety

IGETC will be done by the spring. My major requirements according to assist.org I will be going beyond what is the minimum. By the end of my spring semester I will have taken 13 units at ASU and 49 at my CC.

UCLA & UCB: match
Davis: safety

Good Luck :)

you should be fine...you definently have shown improvment, and instate helps
