I'm taking the ACT again this December, on recent practice tests I have been receiving 27 to 29, unfortunately I had a migraine while taking my recent one which is why some of my scores were so low.

Additional Info- I know that Cal States don't care about extracurricular activities, however, for "extra classes section." I listed that I'm currently taking a IT Essentials I/II Software and Hardware outside of school, which gets me an A+ degree and next semester I'm taking a Advanced Programming Tools Class, which is also outside of school.

By end of this year, I'll have completed calculus. My math grades also have been relatively strong. Lastly, my high school contains a state rank of 10/10 and also has an API score of 906. As well their national rank is #358 and our state rank is 68.

I'm just curious if I will get in, even with my currently low ACT scores. Which will change of course, however, I'm just wondering if I still have a chance of getting in even with these low scores.

Well, Pomona is definitely less competitive than SLO, so you at least have that going for you. I’d say you’ve got a decent shot, particularly if you get up to that 27 on your ACT.

Sorry I meant to type computer engineering. It looks like you’re from my neck of the woods, to bad CPP is not in the service area. Fullerton and Chico are good schools with your major and your stats, as they sit now, and since Fullerton is in your service area it would probably be a safety for you. Just make sure to neglect adding a safety or two to your list, schools that you can afford and are willing to attend.

That gives you a CSU index of 930 which is probably enough to get you into Pomona and Chico. Since Fullerton is your home turf, the threshold is much lower there.

A few more ACT points would give you a noce margin of safety.

I’ll echo jakd59 though - CPP is getting more and more competitive. The simply take the applicants with the highest index. If the field is more qualified this year, you could get edged out. Be sure to apply to a safety or two.
