<p>Your GPA shouldn’t be a problem, assuming you have a decently rigorous schedule. I’d be slightly worried about the test scores - if you could get your CR up to at least 600, even that could really help. ED can only help you, so applying ED is definitely a good idea if you really want to go to CMU, because CMU definitely considers interest. I would try taking the SAT again (or try the ACT if you want). Maybe do a little prep on your own if you haven’t already?
Also, since you said you’re an immigrant, I’m guessing that English may not be your first language? I would assume that they’ll be more forgiving in terms of CR if that’s the case.</p>
<p>It is a real reach. If you haven’t studied English for long, can pay full price and show you’re working on the English, not impossible.</p>
