Chances?? Please suggest any matches or colleges I should consider. Any peer schools for a lower price?
I don’t know about Colby pr Bowdoin, they’re both highly selective and competitive, and you have as good of a chance as anyone, I think. If you’re looking for a low target/safety with the same sort of vibe, try UVM! They give lots of merit aid, small LAC feel in a great town.
If you are female, your chances would tend to be better at Colby than at Bowdoin.
With respect to your interest in environmental sciences, Allegheny, Eckerd, Hamilton, Hobart William Smith, Middlebury and St. Lawrence could be other good choices, and span a range of selectivity.
It’s impossible to chance at either Bowdoin or Colby, or any other similarly highly selective LAC, prior to completing the next step in your academic profile - ACT/SAT, SAT’2s, etc.
That said, if you have taken the PSAT that should give you some indication of where you currently profile, and then you should also focus on what kind of vibe you are looking for.
