Chances at colleges stated in this post

I am a rising junior as of now and I've started to set up college tour dates for the fall, so here are the stats.

GPA: I'm not sure what is considered an A for GPA (3.67 or 4) at my school since it emphasizes denominations of 100...although I think a 94 - 97 is an A, and 90 to 93 is an A-. It's a 95 unweighted, 98 weighted this year, and a 98 unweighted, 104 weighted last year (change in school weighing policy + no APs last year). Since we're a small school (my class, one of the biggest in it's history, is around 130....) and not particularly outstanding, I have a class rank of 1 (who knows what that would be at horace mann though?)
SAT IIs:
May 2005:
Math IC - 770
Math IIC - 770 (November retake for an 800)
Biology - 750
June 2006:
Chemistry - 790

October: Physics, May '07: US History, June '07: Spanish with listening

In October I got a 217 on the PSATs (hoping to improve at least one more point for semi-finalist status in NY lol) I took the SAT's this past May (BAD IDEA), and got a 680 and CR, 720 in Math, and 730 in Writing (Essay: 11).

APs:
Bio - 5
Calc BC (AB) - 5 (5)
European History - 5
Comp Sci A - 5

Next year:
Chemistry (self)
Physics C (both)
Environmental Science (self)
English Language
US History
Spanish: Language
Statistics

As for senior year, nothing is set in stone, but because I'm learning German, Italian, and Latin out of cultural and lingual interests (I'm visiting Italy, Germany, and Spain next year), I'll probably take these:

Italian
Latin(lit and vergil)
German
Spanish: Literature (this one is not self study, probably at a community college)

and then any other APs that I decide are worth taking.

ECs:
Spanish tutor 2 - 3 hrs/week (don't know if it helps, but one of the kids I tutored was getting 50s on his homework around midterms but ended up passing the June state test with a 79); That time would be reduced if I take up tutoring German (they don't teach German at our school)
School mentor program (tentative because school has not said much about it lately)
Math club - captain (took me 3 years to make states though =/), opening a Mu Alpha Theta chapter this year
Academic team - Captain/President
Cross country- looking to get all-state this fall (currently a shade under 20 minutes for 5k/3.1 mi)
Track - hoping for states here as well (get a mile in low 4s, currently it's in the low 5s)
Basketball - uncertain, I should end up making the team but who knows with my school coach (preaches defense but doesn't always select based on it)...also uncertain because I only started playing basketball as a freshman, and even though I've caught up to most of last year's JV team and learned much more about the game since, I dread being forced to execute some play in the Princeton Offense that I never heard of before.

This summer I am doing a science research program in NYC dealing with parasitology because I plan on majoring in a science field and I want to apply to the Research Science Institute (doubtful chances at best I realize) at the end of my junior year, and then hopefully apply for the Intel Science Competition (but that's a very far away possiblity).

Right now I'm looking at these colleges...

Princeton (ED)
MIT (ED since it's non-binding)
Harvard
Cornell
Columbia
Johns Hopkins

I don't have any safety schools planned yet, but if not one accepts me, I'll study in Germany or Italy (Wittenberg or Padua)

And to everyone on the Princeton board: sorry for some differences; things have changed (i.e., the APs) since when I posted what I did over there.

Get into RSI, raise you SATI a lot and you have a real chance.

FYI - P-ton won't let you do MIT EA, if you go ED, its one of THOSE schools. You look good, but w/o SATs you get an incomplete

SAT I doesnt need to be raised a lot, just get all sections over 700 and you should be fine at JHU and Cornell, though theyre kinda reaches for everyone. The other schools of course are much harder, but you have a shot with a 2100+. Like the above poster said, getting into RSI will help you, especially with MIT and Harvard, but the others as well. By the way, MIT is EA. Its a great school, I hope you get in and go there :)

Yeah, that SAT score should get up into the 2300s...I reiterate that no one should take the SATs in May

what's the difference between EA and ED? Ok so no MIT ED...I thought as long as you're matriculating at Princeton and still get accepted to a non-binding EA/ED school but don't go there, that you can do that.

nobody should take the SAT in 9th or 10th grade. middle school is fine, because it doesnt go on your record, but early HS is just wasting times you can take it. I didnt know about princeton ED being like that, but if thats the case then you have to pick one, pton ED or MIT EA. If you like both schools equally, go with Princeton ED because it will give you more of an admissions advantage than EA will at MIT.

Princeton offers an Early Decision program and a Regular Decision program.

Early Decision

If you have determined that Princeton is first among your college choices, you may submit your application by November 1 and receive a decision from us by mid-December. Applying Early Decision constitutes a commitment to attend Princeton if you are offered admission.

Early Decision application outcomes include: admission to Princeton; deferral of the final decision until after another review in the Regular Decision process; and refusal of admission.

Early Decision applicants must have taken the SAT Reasoning Test and SAT Subject tests no later than the November 2006 test date.

Early Decision applicants may not apply under Early Decision or Early Action plans at any other college or university (but may submit Regular Decision applications elsewhere).

Early Decision applicants who apply for financial aid and are offered admission in December will be notified of any aid awards at the same time.

This is from the website.http://www.princeton.edu/pr/admissions/u/appl/06/index.htm

I'm only taking the SAT one more time, so hopefully this 2130 gave me a good idea of how the test is like in actual conditions. =/

What's the best interview to get? I know some alumni who work for the admissions department and could set up an interview with me (they live near me)...but it would not be on-campus with one of the people at the university...so what's better?

What are my chances at an elite German or Italian school with those stats? (I'll be visiting their colleges next summer)

Would colleges see the intel finalist results before RD acceptance notices are mailed? Just a curious question.
