<p>K, sorry for reviving this or whatever, but let me tell you something. Your counselor and all these people who have posted here have no idea what they’re talking about. You have a 0 to 0.1% chance of gaining admission into Cooper Union. The school accepts around 20, yes you read right, 20!!! civil engineers per year. It’s acceptance rate for the class of 2013, I think is 9.3% or so. I can’t believe your counselor said that MIT would be harder. What kind of counselor is he/she?! I’m not being pessimistic, I’m just being realistic. Cooper Union is the kind of school that not a lot of people know about, but those who do would know that it’s a crazy school. Anyways, good luck, and I do hope you get in, even though the chances are close to 0.</p>

<p>I am very confused as well. When I first saw your stats, I was very dubious about whether you will get in or not. Cooper union has 7% selectivity with most students being extremely intelligent.
I’m applying as well and I have a 2200 with a 3.9 GPA. I had a few engineering related EC as well. However, a lot of people told me that It would be hard for me to get in.</p>

<p>I don’t really umderstand how your stats are better than mine…</p>
