Chances at Dartmouth

Dartmouth is my uber-reach transfer school. Here are my stats

College GPA 3.9
High School GPA 4.0
SAT1 2050
SAT2 2330(math physics and chemistry)

3 AP (Cal BC 5, Macro Econ 5 and Psychology 4)

I am now a trustee scholar at a small LAC ranked in the 90's.

Should I even try?????

You should definitely try, you have competitive stats. Just make sure your recs and essays are strong

Definitely try. As mentioned above, you will need compelling essays and recommendations, but your stats are good enough that you should try.

Are you serious? I was expecting a lot of “You shouldn’t even apply” responses. I heard that admission is very competitive in Dartmouth and many applicants have GPA more than 3.8 and SAT more than 2300, but very few have the chance to be admitted~

Well you’re just about as qualified as you can be (based on stats alone). So if Dartmouth is where you truly want to go, then you should definitely apply. However, they do accept a small number of transfers, so just being qualified won’t necessarily get you in, but it’s a definite start!

Dartmouth is pretty ridiculous when in it comes to transfers

^ As in way harder to transfer into? Its my 1st choice of any school
