Hello all
I did pretty bad my underclassmen year because i was in the IB program which wasn't for me at all, After retaking 3ish classes, my Weighted Gpa is a 3.78, and my UW a 3.3

Alot of ECs, as well as Track in which i made regional, i also am a URM(first generation American from Nigeria) Most of my ec's contain leadership postions as well.
My Sat scores are in the 1800's and my act is a 25, Iv'e taken only AP/IB and honors classes my whole highschool career. Now what are my chances? and please excuse any gramitical errors, i'm typing from a phone. Btw please be gentle

GPA. Idk how many AP/ IB courses you have. Up the test scores and UF will become match. I think you’ll get into FSU and UCF though. Chance me back. gl

UF is a definite reach. I know people with 4.4 GPAs that have gotten denied. FSU is a low reach as well. Once again, students have been declined with higher test scores and GPAs. However, I think you should be fine for FSU, but you just MIGHT get deferred. It’s possible. The fact you are a minority will help you a ton. UCF is a low match.

UF is a reach, the middle 50% of the 2013 class had a wGPA of 4.1 to 4.4 and ACT of 26-31. However, with UF’s holistic admissions, you still have a chance.

FSU is a match/high match. the middle 50% of the 2013 class had a 3.9-4.7 weighted GPA; 26-30 ACT composite; 1730-1960 SAT total. Your EC’s and URM status would make a difference.

If you’re looking at UCF (match), you should also take a look at USF and/or UNF (if looking for a bit smaller school).

The less selective the school, the greater your chance of merit aid. For example, with your current stats, FAMU could offer you $6,000 a year (for 4 years for a total of $24K) scholarship (George W. Gore Assistantship Scholarship). UWF, FGCU and FAU could also offer merit aid.
