Chances at Good Test Optional Colleges for Junior?!

Hi, I’m currently a junior and wanted to know some good test-optional schools that I can apply to or good schools I can get into with my ACT score (25). It is not very good and not the best test taker but here are my other stats:

  • Captain of Varsity Soccer
  • Varsity Track (1 year)

This being I have very well-written and exceptional essays.

NYU has an option where you submit AP exam results instead of ACT/SAT. Other than that, here’s a mix of reach/match/safety test optional schools:

University of Chicago
Bowdoin College
Colby College
University of Rochester
Bryn Mawr
Smith College
Wesleyan University
GWU
American University
Wake Forest
Mount Holyoke
Skidmore
Franklin and Marshall
Temple University
Clark University
Depaul university
Marist College
Ithaca College

Obviously, this is just the tip of the iceberg and every school is different. You are definitely going to have to narrow down the list to what you’re looking for in a school.

Thank you this was very helpful! Which schools on the list would you think I would have a good chance of getting into?

Tufts

Jesuit colleges.

You are in luck! This year many many schools are going test optional due to COVID. Williams, Amherst, Middlebury, Connecticut College, Trinity, among many others.
