Chances at harvard!!! Urgent!

My chances at harvard:

did community service since 6th grade. had 300 hrs in middle school. i have gotten presidential service award for gold every year. i have 700 hours of community service in high school.

clubs: boy scouts (where i did all of my community service), school orchestra, orchestra at church, recyling club

gpa: taking all ib
math right now: between b to an a
everything else, b to an a
essay??? idunno
Do u think i can get into Harvard with my community service???

^ applicants need more than just community service to get in.

You have not provided enough information to give a meaningful chance. A GPA from “b to on a” could mean 3.1 UW or it could mean 3.95 UW. Furthermore, you have provided only vague information about ECs and no information about test scores.

Agreed, more information is definitely necessary. GPA, SAT scores, Boy Scout rank, and more info about ECs would definitely help. Community service alone won’t get you in, but if you’ve made a meaningful impact on your community it will definitely help.

Why is it so “urgent”? Just wondering.

Harvard will care far more about what you accomplished with your community service – projects your organized, money you raised, people whom you tutored – than how many hours you devoted to such service.

boy scouts: eagle
can drives, trash clean pick up, boy scout stuff. low a = grade

those r all the clubs that i am in

Just out of a hypothesis over looking at a summary of my resume. Do you think I have a chance?

I’m sorry not “my” resume.

Wait what? Is this one of your friends that you’re talking about? Anyway, there’s definitely a chance of getting in, but since the acceptance rate is like 7% I have to say it’s not too likely…

Based on your incomprehensible posts, you have zero chance. That is all.

Why is this matter urgent? Also you write like a third grader so I’m going to assume you don’t have the grades to get in.

I really don’t understand what you’re saying.

Look don’t be mean. IF those ec’s, can I get in?

No one’s being mean, they’re just remarking that it’s virtually impossible to figure out how to respond to your incomprehensible posts. My guess is that you are a middle schooler/hs freshman or a ■■■■■. In either of these cases, this thread really doesn’t have any purpose. If not, you need to be specific with your ECs and grades for anyone to validly analyze your chances.

Look that is as specific as I can get. Oh, and this is not my resume. I am not a ■■■■■. Are you at Harvard???

I’m guessing middle school student, maybe elementary school student.

GPA/academy is still the most important. Harvard won’t give you the degree for doing community service. If your GPA is less than 3.5 UW, the chance is low. Harvard really doesn’t care community service too much.

Okhpysm - What are your sources? I am seeing your posts on threads. First, I see you say teacher recommendations are ignored and now you say community service does not matter. These statements are inaccurate.

As for OP, “if that as specific as I can get” is true, then please do not ask CCers to rate your chances. You are lacking the detail that can allow feedback. Does community service help? Yes, but like I said before it will not get you in my itself. There needs to be a complete package. If you want to see examples of accepted and rejected students’ activities and community service, read through the results thread.
