I don't have much community service...I'm hoping that won't be a major factor. I'll be getting a rec from my AP Lang teacher and perhaps my French teacher who I've had for 2 years.

What are my chances at Johns Hopkins, Haverford, Middlebury, Vassar, Kenyon, Boston College, William and Mary, and UVA? Hopkins is my 1st choice as of now.

It's not letting me edit my post. Forgot to mention I go to a public school, and a pretty competitive one at that. It was ranked in the top 10 in the state for awhile, not sure if it still is. Many many people from my shool go to top colleges.

Are you applying ED to JHU? Haha we have almost identical stats (you have a slightly better gpa, and I have a ton of community service), im jewish too actually. But aside from that if you apply ED to JHU you have really good chances at getting in, but if you don't, then i'd say that your chances are 50/50. I'm assuming that you are a junior of course.

Yep, I'm a Junior. So still some time to add more extra curriculars and community service. I'm afraid the no community service thing is gonna hurt me though. For everything else I'm pretty qualified, so I dunno. Thanks for the help guys.

I'm not sure if I'm applying ED yet. Depends how much my SAT scores improve. If they don't get that much better, I may have to ED to improve my chances. If they improve a lot then I may not have to ED.
