Weighted gpa 3.6
Unweighted 3.2

I know these are on the low side of qualifications for this school but both my parents, uncle, and grandpa attended lmu. They told me that because of this, I have a good chance of getting in.
Is this accurate? Is it that helpful having both parents as lmu alumni?

Because of the legacy you have a better shot of getting in, but realistically, I’d say it is a little bit of a reach. The average weighted GPA is slightly above 3.6 and the average SAT is about 1800, though your ACT’s aren’t bad. Having your parents go there is a plus, but to further predict i’d need to know your extracurricular activities.

My friend applied to LMU with 3.5 gpa unweighted, good ecs, and
he had around a 1600…does he have a chance???
