I am going to be a senior in the fall and plan on applying early action. My GPA is currently around 3.5 and I just got my SAT scores back. On the SAT I scored a 1700 total or Reading: 600, Math: 550 and writing: 550. I live in the state of Kansas (Dont know if that matters) and I go to a private Jewish high school. My essay is going to be very good and it will talk about how I took a risk in high school by coming out of the closet during my junior year (I dont know if they like those type of essays). Also, for my extra curriculars I will have 4 years of varsity soccer and 3 years of varsity basketball. I also have had 2 jobs and a fair amount of community service. Do you think I will be able to get into LMU??? Why or why not?? Chance me please!

Is your GPA weighted or unweighted? If it’s unweighted that shouldn’t be a problem, but your SAT score is a little low. The average accepted student has a score of 1850. Take the SAT again and make sure your first semester senior grades are good, but right now LMU looks like a reach for you.
