Chances at Maryland College Park

what are my early action chances as an out of state caucasian student at university of maryland college park if i have a 3.34 GPA 1920/2400 or 1280/1600 SATS and 28 ACT and kick ass leadership extra curriculars and varsity sports and a few honors and AP classes at a very competative hs in ct?

How "kick ass" are your leadership curriculars? Your GPA and SAT scores will hurt very, very much. Very slim chance, because 1) UMCP as a state school is pretty focused on GPA and scores (just to get your foot in the door), and 2) you're out of state, which makes it doubly competitive. Do you have class rank?

They got a 19% increase in applications last year, to more than 27,000 applications. Is there any particular reason why you want to go to UMCP? What about UConn?

Based on the information you gave, I don't think you'll get in. If you were in-state, possibly more of a chance, but even then it's getting harder and harder to get into UMCP every year anyways.

I think your chances are very good. Maryland College Park is about 30% out-of-state.
Your SATs are in the midrange for College park.
