ESSAYS: good -One of my essays is on being a first generation college student.

Hoping to study molecular Biology with Pre-med

I know my SATs are rather low but...Chance me please!

does anyone think I have a chance? I need to know where you think I stand...

Well, I have no experience what so ever, but it seems like you would have a shot. If you get rejected, it will be because of your SAT scores, which are low.

slc 2007 i was rejected my middlebury...
my test scores are pretty much like yours. CR 570 M 660 W 560
but, there is always a chance for u, who knows may b ur ECs and probably great essays will seal the deal for u

best wishes,

anyone else with an opinion??

Hey SLC07, such coincidence, my SAT score is 1920, too. What was your essay score?
btw, I've just conducted an interview with Midd today.

My essay score was a 10 which kind of brought my writing score down.....but I'm kind of a nervous test taker lol....how did your interview go?

your scores are (no offense) rather weak for Middlebury, but it's not too much of a dent in your application because it seems you've taken a very rigorous courseload and taken a good deal of APs and stuff.
Your ec's look a little on the generic side, but that's just my view of things (i've seen some crazy stuff) so don't weight it too much

anyway, good luck and i hope you get in to the college(s) you want.

I've got a 12. :)
The interviewer was a Vietnamese like I am; so I thought we got along quite well. I hope he likes me

Please chance me!

Recs: excellent from principal and guidance counselor, 2 good
Essay: wrote about being a good student, being organized, balancing all my ec's, community service, sports, and school work -- generic topic... my english teacher said it was well-written.

CHANCES PLEASE !!

I know someone who had similar grades and scores in the upper 700's and didn't get in. This year is going to be even more competitive then last year so no one is a shoe-in. That said, some of you with scores in the 600's will get in. They look at everything so keep hope, but also keep an open mind about other schools.

In both cases, I'd say it's doubtful, but possible.

essay sounds weak...low sats...

After some research i found that middlebury does not look at SATs with very high priority... they seem to focus more on your high school classes, class rank, GPA, and recommendations before they look at obsolete standardized tests.

Cannot Agree More, JMPro

25% of the applicants have SAT scores less than 1900. If you wrote really good essays, and had good recs you have an amazing chance of getting in. Not everything is SAT scores. Don't forget that.
