Chances at NC schools

Hey everyone. I'm a second semester junior, and the college stress is beginning to build. Here's all of the info I can think to include... anything else, just ask.

Personal:up/mid class white female in NC
Did not take PSAT (I had already taken SAT when they offered psat. I didn't see the point, and didn't know about NMS. oh well.)
SAT: 2120 (730 CR/690M/700W) (only took once. should i try again?)
GPA: W 4.4 UW 3.7ish
School: Public, good rep. Class is about 300. I'm in the top 40, give or take a few. If I rejoin SILSA (see below) then I'd be in a class of 30, top 5(if not 1).

Coursework: Rigorous. All H classes possible as underclassman.

Junior Coursework:
AP Biology
AP English Lang
AP US History
AP Art History
PreCal
Photography Appreciation (at local community college)
Spanish II

Senior Coursework/u

AP Eng Lit
AP World His
AP Stats

ECs/ Other Info

Schools- Do these look realistic? Anywhere else you think I should apply?

1st Choice/Match-- UNC Chapel Hill

Reaches:
Duke
Wake Forest
Brown U
Davidson

Safeties:
Elon
NCSU
UNC Asheville

Thats about it. I will be a pre-med student, though I haven't yet decided my major. I'd love any thoughts you can give me.

noice, yea i want to go to unc as well, and i want to do pre-med too, it looks like you got some competition, but i think you'lll get in..message me if you want to see my stats and see what your up against.

Are you going to Governor's School East or West? If you are going to East, I will be seeing you there! ;)

Oh, and by the way - Wake Forest and perhaps Davidson are not reaches for you. They are matches.

Only message me if your stats are worse, gibson. :P I don't think i want to know, otherwise.

You think, sligh?...I guess part of the reach for me is money-wise. I'd need some nice scholarships to go to either of those.

Well, I guess you are right in that they may be financial reaches, but they are certainly not academic reaches for you. They sure are some pricey schools when looking at UNC! ;)

Trust basketball to screw with you, but I think Davidson may be a slight reach. But GO CATS. :)

I'd retake your SATs just to make you a little more competitive (work on the
math and maybe writing; just grab a Princeton Review book from Barnes and Noble and try a few problems/essays).

The Governor's school will be a definite plus. If the science school thing offers classes of rigor for you, it may work to your advantage when combined with your indicated interest in science.

Good luck, and don't stress too much next year!
