I was deferred last december from northeastern. I retook the SAT in january and went up from a 1860 to a 2020. So anyway with a 3.6 weighted GPA, a 2020 on the SAT (620 CR, 690 math, 710 writing), a really good essay, and AP classes, what are my chances?

send a letter of interest (especially if it's your 1st choice)....surprised you were deferred in EA....but if you went up 160 points in M/V especially, it makes sense.....GL; if no FA, good chance....if applying for FA, no idea if NU is need aware....

I'm surprised that you were deferred in the first place. You'll be fine now, like 95% in.

great thanks, i already sent a letter of interest, and i didnt apply for FA. my biggest concern is that because i took the January SAT they wont look at the scores because its so late after the deadline. do you think they'll consider my new scores? thanks

no idea what their policy is re: Jan SAT....call them; I'm sure that's a logical question if it's not on their website; especially for a deferred student.....

thanks. im also worried because my mid year grades were just OK, not great. my grades this year are low B to mid B range, which is lower then i've done throughout high school. on the other hand i am in a few AP classes. do you think any of this will matter much?
