Chances at NYU Stern or Georgetown McDonough for international transfer?

Hi,

Im an Icelandic citizen and Ive done two out of three years bachelor/undergraduate at a Norwegian Business College(US style) in Oslo. Im wondering about possibilities of transferring into the 3rd year of undegraduate at Stern or McDonough.

I have a 3.7 GPA, aiming to improve it to 3.93 this semester. Im a member of the investment club and I work part time to support myself through college in payment collection.

Im unsure if NYU or Georgetown will accept my credits since Ive noticed many top schools dont accept marketing, business, finance courses and I dont wish to start on the first year. I would pay full semester fees and not need financial aid. Anyone who could give me an estimate of my chances?

If you have any other suggestions for business schools, please feel free to tell me about them!

Im a finance major btw, forgot to mention that :)

The McDonough School of Business takes a small percentage of transfer students each year. Normally, 30 to 45 transfers each year. So it is a competitive process. We do take students from international schools as well. We do not do transfer evaluations for students until those students are accepted but we would have any business courses you took evaluated by the faculty to see if the credits could transfer. I would encourage you if you have questions on the admissions process to contact Georgetown’s Admissions Office at (202) 687-3600.
