Any help would be appreciated!

I just asked my friend and he says that you would proly get NYU. Are you a second generation Italian-American?

You will probably get in. Probably..... not definately.... probably.

Great EC's...maybe try the SAT's again...other than that...everything's swell. My friend's applying there, and her stats are basically the same as yours...you guys should both get in.

I am first generation in response to the previous question.
I don't know if this will help, but i will be the first in my family to go to a university. Maybe that will help.
Does anyone have any insights on the other universities that I am applying to and my chances?

"IB Diploma Candidate with projected score well over 24"

you do realize that the IB is out of 45 right?... You must be getting 38/39+ if you're considering ivy league schools..well Cornell in your case.

What did you do your EE on?
And do you like TOK? Have you done the essay already?

I just said that my projected scores are over 24 because I wanted to state the fact that I will be getting my IB Diploma.
My EE is on how Standardized tests are not an applicable tool in education. Basically I sight all its downfalls and relate it to my personal situation. My thesis is pretty much that standardized tests, with their inherent flaws, do not accurately represent general intelligence or future success on the college level. I think that this topic is especially relevent because my SAT scores are not the best they could be. This is due to my test anxiety.
TOK is alright, I guess. At my school, we have it everyother day. It is interesting but at times the discussions of philosophical topics can get dull and boring.

Cornell is my reach. I know that, it was just that i thought i should apply because i liked it. Plus, I have nothing to lose in simply applying.

I think you have a reasonable list of colleges, but I'm a little concerned with the combination of testing anxiety and taking all 3 SAT II's on one day. If you could take even one standby this weekend, it would take some of the pressure off in January.

You know I just heard that advice from my guidance counselor today in school. I think that I will only take 2 in January, and then probably take the last one later on in the year. I'm sure it would be for the better.
