im currently a senior at Campolindo High School. Campolindo is ranked #13 in the state of California. I have around a 3.6, 1250 ish SATs(going to take again), 620-650 ish on SAT IIs, lots of extra curriculars including: Church Youth Group Mission Trips to Mexico to build homes for a week in Tijuana (last 3 years), Youth action council (comm service group), school rep for the American Cancer Society Teen Board, Secretary of Key Club (comm service), Youth and Government, soccer for 2 years, 1 year of swimming, copy editor of the award winning school yearbook, and also for the last 3 years taken summer programs at UC Berkeley through a program called Academic Talent Development Program, minority- asian american, I have 2 great rec letters, and havent started my essays yet. Pepperdine is my first choice school. What are my chances of being admitted?? please be honest :)

that isnt the ranking I saw at school, the one they have up at my school is more recent...i will try to get the link for that one from the college career lady

Emphasize your church-related activities to the max at Pepperdine. They have been known to take someone with slightly lower stats who is devoted to church activities and has high moral character (make sure your rec's say something to this effect) over someone with higher stats. Pepperdine admissions is VERY concerned with "fit" - they want to know that you want to go there BECAUSE they are a religious school, not because you want to go to a school with an ocean view. Good luck - I think you have a shot.

i think you have a good shot. your 3.6 is their average gpa also, and your 1250 (ish) SAT is their avg. too, so i would say like an 80% chance..
