I'm a really strong essayist, and I have some good teachers and counselors to reccomend me. (as most people)

Does being a jock classify me as a URM? haha..just kidding...but seriously...

and how is Pomona's english program?

Your GPA is strong, and I wouldn't be terribly concerned about class rank despite having 88 percent of this year's entering class in the top 10 percent of their graduating classes. You should do some review for your Math and CR SATs, though, since that does provide a level playing field for comparison with other students. Your ECs are varied, so that's another plus. From what I've heard, Pomona's English department is strong. Since D is a first-year, I know only one English faculty member, her faculty advisor, who's absolutely great.

Good luck!

Are you planning on playing one of the sports you mention when you're in college. If so, contact Pomona's coach in this regard and you may end up with someone on your side to go to bat with admissions for you. You definitely need to be in the mix gpa/sat rangewise of the freshman profile, but then beyond that, coaches have a little pull if they want to recruit someone. It's not like D-1 sports, but a coach on your side can sort of work as the ultimate letter of recommendation when you otherwise meet the qualifications of a school like Pomona.
