That's pretty much it. Applying ED to Rice, RD to UPenn and Yale, and a couple of safeties. Thanks in advance. I'll chance you back if you want me to, but I'm new to this.

Fallen to the 2nd page… Bump!

Your academic honors are great, As well as your EC’s. I don’t think you will have any problems at anywhere you have applied, the only thing slightly lacking might be a GPA, but i think the weighted GPA makes up for it, I don’t think you have anything at all to worry about. Good luck!

If you absolutely love Rice than ED is a good idea, but to be honest if its a move to get an admissions advantage than I wouldn’t do it. You are going to get in RD, you’ll be better off for having some choices if you want them. I’d say you are competitive for almost any college in the country so you might think about an EA school instead.

@bucktiar - Thanks!

@slipper1234 - I do love Rice; I’ve considered applying RD, but of all the schools at which I’ve looked, Rice seems to be a near-perfect fit for me. It’s partially an admissions move, yes, but it’s also by far my favorite school (unless there’s something great I’ve managed to overlook :P). Penn is a bit too large for me, and the decision between Yale and Rice was mostly a matter of location and a few specific programs and such. Thanks for your input!

I didn’t think the few replies I’d get would make me so excited. Thanks guys!
