Chances at Richmond? Can I be a Richmond scholar winner?

<p>Ugh - the dreaded “Chance Me” thread. Understand that nobody from the inner sanctum of the Admissions department will be posting. That means that you are getting best guesses from well meaning people.</p>

<p>You seem to have an excellent shot at being accepted. If that happens, and you accept and attend, congratulations! UR is a fantastic school with an outstanding faculty and a superb President. My daughter is a sophomore at UR and is loving life there.</p>

<p>Richmond Scholars…that’s a horse of a different color! (sorry watched Wizard of Oz the other night). Every year people are shocked, insulted and angry that they, or their son or daughter was not accepted as a RS. While your academics are excellent, I think they are looking for more than that. I think the academics may open the door but then there are interviews and follow up that plays a part in the final decision. I can’t provide any first hand knowledge about that process. Search “Richmond Scholars” and you will find a few discussions that may give you better insight.</p>
