What are my chances for other schools? What schools should I apply for?

I think you have a VERY good shot at the Ivies. What type of school are your looking for?

well im hoping to get a double major somewhere
music and something else...

yale has a nice (but tough to get into even for those at yale) 5 year, ba/mm program so it'll be a ba in any subject and a masters in music within 5 years
(buts getting into yale seems hard enough)

Alright-- you know my opinion already from your other threads. In terms of other schools, look at Bard's new conservatory-- mandatory double degree for all students, and you could study with Joan Tower. The composition major won't be available until the second year, though. Are you competitive on piano at the conservatory level?
Rice's composition is excellent. I also would recommend Columbia/Juilliard, Harvard/NEC, University of Chicago, University of Michigan, and Indiana University. Also maybe Stanford, UC-Berkeley, Princeton, and Williams. Stay away from Oberlin unless you want to write music that sounds stuck in the 60s... Their comp department is kind of backwards. Oh, UPenn is good, too, and UNC-Chapel Hill.
I'm a violinist and composer looking to balance musical and academic study, but with emphasis on the musical. I'm applying to Yale, Harvard/NEC, Bard, Indiana, Boston U, Cleveland Institute, Vanderbilt, and maybe one more safety. I have the same SAT composite as you, but distributed 800 V, 650 M. I hope this helps.
