I am also taking English Honors, taking Spanish V and economics. I'll also be doing senior seminar next seminar where I'll intern somewhere; I hope to intern at a bank or someplace I can learn about business.

I've been playing soccer for my HS 4 years, am in the national honor society, I'm the secretary of the Science Honor Society, treasurer of the soccer club and I'm a delegate for the Student Organization. I'm also a member of the Spanish Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta (Math Honor Society).
What are my chances of getting into the SOM? It's one of my top choices for college.

Actually.....

I now have a 1300/1600 and a 1930/2400 on my SATs so that could help me.

bump......

Umm.. anyone?

I think you have a average shot at SOM...I don't remember the exact score but for my year, currently a freshman in SOM, the average score for SOM students is about a 1320.

Ohhh god...I really want to go to to the SOM....

bump (10 char)

At http://som.binghamton.edu/abtsom/facts.html
it says that the average SOM student SAT score is 1278...

Is this inaccurate?

hey have you guys heard of anyone that applied EA to the SOM that has been accepted yet? all my friends who applied to Harpur have already been accepted, but I still haven't. I thought it was because I submitted my app on the last day (nov 15) but i read in another forum that someone else did the same and has already been accepted. could this be because they might be considering me for the honors program? im really hoping to get in... i think my stats are about average for the honors program:
SAT Reasoning: 1460/1600, 2210/2400 (M: 790, CR: 670, W: 750)
SAT II Math: 800
SAT II Spanish: 750
SAT II Physics: 700
GPA: ~97 unweighted, ~101 weighted
Class rank: somewhere around 1 to 3
I've taken 6 APs, taking 6 this year, I have good ECs, I have work experience, my essays were meh.
Whyyy haven't I heard yet?? I really want to go...
If anyone has any info that can ease my pain, pleeeease help!

psssshhhh... what pain?!

You're clearly in and you've definitely a great shot at the honors program.

ehh, i heard they reject a lot of good students with stats like mine (and stats are just stupid numbers), only because they think that i'm using them as a safety school with no intention of going there. but for me, i think binghamton som is a good match, and i didnt apply to any safeties or other match schools... so with my luck, i could potentially not go to college.

Ahhh!!! I can't stand it anymore!

i didn't mean to post in this topic... sorry.

I wish my school had a science honor society.
