SCHOOLS I WANT TO APPLY TO:
Stanford (EA) .. and my Uncle, Cousins went there? sorta-legacy, and Stanford is my first choice by FAR
Claremont McKenna
Dartmouth
Whitman (safety)
UO Honors College
Pomona
Princeton??

Questions: What is my chance of admittance based on my statistics?
What can I do to improve (especially on Academic Awards/Programs)?
Advice?

SAT scores??
SAT II scores??

So far you look pretty good. Its hard to tell w/o the ^^

You have no test scores to show me. Assuming you got 2200, you have a bit of a chance since your GPA is decent, but not spectacular. Your ECs do seem to require some commitment but are very broad.

assumption ur SAT is ~2300
Stanford (EA)-Reach
Dartmouth-Reach/Good
Whitman- safety
Pomona-Good/Reach
Princeton-Reacj

Are you INSANE? If the OP's GPA is 4.0 uw, then what the **** does it have to be to be better than "decent"? When you say "not spectacular", surely you mean chances, rather than the GPA??? Top 5 out of 500 = top 1% = phenomenal.

I think he's trying to say that GPA alone isn't enough to get you in. What are you most passionate about in your broad list of EC's?

Skyhawk: I think you'll do GREAT in the application process. My D is a Stanford(also admitted to Rice and Yale), and she loves it. Shoot for all of them. My prediction is that you will get in to all of them, or maybe one rejection. Good luck!

Oh! I forgot SAT/ACT Scores..

SAT: 2310
ACT:33
SAT2: US History 780, Biology 790, MathII 780

are you trying to get recruited for track?

Nope, not trying to get recruited, i'm good, but not AMAZING.. :/

Better than average applicant chances. You have a very, very good shot. Try applying to other competitive schools :)

You will get in at both Stanford and Dartmouth IMHO. You are kind of their ideal candidate.

On a sideline note, I see you are from Beaverton--I presume in Oregon--so the running tie-in with Nike seemed appropriate. Was it organized in conjunction with them?--because that might be worth mentioning in your application as well.

You definately have the stats to get in and above averaged quals, but nothing is guaranteed. If it was, 60% of the perfected scorers wouldn't have been rejected from Stanford one year.

Your stats match those of the accepted students, however.

You're in the ballpark for Stanford/ Dartmouth. May want to add Princeton and Brown into the mix. Good luck!

Thanks, Murasaki, for the disclaimer. I'm giving my best view here, but as pointed out, these schools are known for being hard to be sure about--thus a good reason why you should take slipper1234's advice and add some other schools to your list of applications. Strangely enough, I think Princeton and Brown would also be my first two choices as additions.

Maybe Harvard and Georgetown as choices #3 and #4 (government).

Lastly, you need at least one safety.

With uganda and SAT scores above 2200 youre in

Personally I think Stanford is a bit of a reach as many people with your stats get rejected. Find something in your EC that will seperate you from everyone else.

Does a not profit organization not differentiate me? Does Uganda not differentiate me?

In at Dart. 25% at Stanford. What state are you from? URM?

Going to Uganda will not help your app at all. If you did the same thing in your home town it would impress the adcoms more. Going to Uganda just says you have money.

I live in Oregon, which gives me a good chance i suppose, but i really want to go to Stanford! I just found out that my uncle is well known on campus and may have an in at the admission office?
