Also, if you think there would be anything else that could help me get in to any of those i'd appreciate your input. thanks guys. This forum is great.

Your ability to get into Stanford will depend upon whether you will play football there. If yes, then you can get in, otherwise, no. If I were you and willing to play football there, I'd contact their sports program, let them know of your interest (and 3.99+ UW GPA)--and see if they are interested as well. Send them a video of your football play if you have anything like this.

Your ACT and ECs are not good enough to get you into Yale or Harvard--sorry. (Will you retake this?)

You are a probable match at Wisconsin and Notre Dame. I'm guessing match to slight reach at Cornell, although a bit iffy since the Ecs (besides sports) are just so-so. You should be a match at Univ of Rochester (close to safe match).

Best of success to you.

I don't know about HYPS for you mate. The academics just aren't there.

"I don't know about HYPS for you mate. The academics just aren't there."

wow don't you guys think you are being kind of hard on tha guy? His academics definately put him in range... A 30 ACT and a 3.999 gpa definately puts him in or very near to the middle 50 percentile of acceptance range at hys.

Yea I can see there is an argument for weak ec's, but we have no idea about the level of passion/ how he will present those in his app (and don't put prom king as an ec).

i think you got a good a shot as all the rest.

No, a 30 ACT puts him just below or at the very bottom of the middle 50% for the Ivies (Harvard is 31-34). That GPA is nice but the standardized tests don't totally back it up.

Without outstanding ECs and other things to make his application more attractive, his chances at HYP are very low.

Also, consider taking some SAT IIs.

Dude, do not listen to all the people saying your chances are very low, EVERYONE'S chances are very low. IIRC, 91 or 92% of valedictorians get rejected from the top Ivies, which is damn near the same rate that EVERYONE is. Duke isn't an ivy but its ranked up there, and one of my closest friends goes there with an 1890. Trust me bro, apply, chances are if you apply to HYPS you will get into one of them. Then again though, do you really want to be in that environment? You seem like the social guy who's real smart that everyone likes, if that's the case look into some schools like Vandy, etc, as they have a bit more of a vibrant social life than some of the others you listed.

Everyone's chances are not very low. That's a gross generalization.
Recruited athletes, legacies, URM, or "preferential candidates" (our current President was accepted to Yale with a 1210 on the old SAT) and other hooked applicants have a much higher chance of being admitted to HYPS.

@hyakku: You cite that your friend got into Duke with an 1890. I believe he is one of the aforementioned exceptions.

Thanks guys, i really appreciate it.

I don't really know if i wanna go to harvard or yale because of the environment. I really would like a vibrant campus and social life as that is what i have now. Stanford seems like it would fit that bill more than harvard or yale. Please tell me what I can do to improve my chances at Stanford cuz I really wanna go there. University of Rochester is my second choice. By the way, I wanna go to med school after and become an anesthesiologist or orthopedic surgeon.

Thanks guys for all the comments
