What are my chances of getting into either Newhouse or Whitman at Syracuse?

I think you have a very good chance of getting into all 3 schools considering your course load and ECs are very strong. However, you SAT and ACT scores are a little bit weak so I would try to improve at least one of those; if you can do that, you’ll probably be almost guaranteed admission.

Hey I want to get into Cuse too, ill keep in touch with your post, and maybe you with mine

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/968104-chance-northeastern-schools-latin-chick-ill-chance-back.html

Thanks, y’all! I’m retaking the SAT in October, so I’ll probably wait and submit those scores. I don’t think I’m going to retake the ACT, though. I just wasn’t comfortable with the test and I feel more confident about the SAT.

Thanks again!

Hey ALOT of people get nominated for National Student Leadership Conference,People to People, and National Society of High School Scholars,(including me for all 3), so I dont think those really count

Thanks for the input, Jessica.

Bump?
Thanks again.

Alright… I went on MyChances and searched for all of the schools I’m currently looking at and they came up as follows:

Vanderbilt- 1.3% chance (reach)
Syracuse- 95.9% chance (safety)
University of Arkansas- 98.6% chance (safety)
University of Alabama- 98.6% chance (safety)
University of Georgia- 14.4% chance (reach)
University of Missouri- 98.6% chance (safety)
University of Texas- 46.1% chance (match/slight reach)
Texas A&M University- 45.0% chance (match/slight reach)
Texas Christian University- 91.8% chance (safety)
Southern Methodist University- 96.8% chance (safety)
Baylor University- 100% chance (safety)

Does this sound right to you all? A few of them sound off to me.

Bump?!
Thanks again. (:

Bump again. Haha!
I would really like a few more opinions.

And again… bump!

Remember that Newhouse is more selective then the main college at Syracuse, but probably less so than it’s honors program. A 1770/25 would almost certain get you into the university with that class rank (as your percentage shows) but for Newhouse its a little low. Of course, your success with journalism should hugely outweigh that. SU is a great school if you don’t mind the bizzare architecture (the buildings are often built in very different styles and don’t seem to go together) and of course the weather.

Bump and thanks… again.

Bump! Sorry if I’m being annoying.

Bump! I’d like a few more opinions. (:

Liveandlearn: PM me; I think my daughter was in your position (same schools) and had to make the same decision a few years ago (it was after she was accepted though)

Rodney- I just sent you a message, but I’m not sure if it went through because I’m on my cell phone.

np: I’m around all week; resend when you can

Bump! Thanks in advance. (:

Bump… again. Sorry.
