I'm applying to the communications school at both Syracuse and UT. Which one do I have a better chance of being admitted to?

As of now, you have an excellent chance to get into Syracuse. If you prepare yourself and bring up your SAT scores, your course rigor and grades suggest that you would be able to get into UT Austin as well. At that point, it is just a matter of preference. You have excellent extracurricular activities and a challenging course load. With everything you are involved in, it should be easy for you to get good recommendations. You should consider applying to more schools, because you have a very impressive resume. All you need to do is bring up your SAT scores a bit. As it stands, the better chance is with Syracuse, as it has significantly lower average SAT scores for admitted applicants and according to the College Board, it has a 60% acceptance rate while UT Austin has 45%. It won’t matter though, if you bring up your scores, you have as good a chance as any to get into either college. Good luck. Please give me feedback.

Thanks for the input!

bump.

Bump again.

Yo, CM: the reported SAT/ACT averages for Syracuse ARE NOT for Newhouse or Whitman…just to let you know…they are not separately reported for each individual school…I’m not mad; just clarification…

Bump… again. (:

I’m afraid you’re test scores may be a little on the uncompetitive side for UT Austin. Competition is pretty stiff if you aren’t in the top 8% of your class. If you can score in the 1850-2000 range (or even higher), your chances will improve immensely.

Thanks!
What kind of a chance do y’all think I have at A&M?
