Well...I have come to believe that Wharton is also looking for different things than most schools in their applicants. While MIT and Caltech, for example, are looking for math/science aptitude and achievement, I think that Wharton places far less emphasis on academics.

You are obvioulsy a naturally bright boy, as well as an overachiever with AMAZING SAT scores. There is nothing wrong with your application, you are smart, have EC's, and have great scores. It all depends on who is reading your application that day and what they are looking for. The fact that you attend a prestigous high school could help your chances. I laugh when I read people responding to Ivy league schools as definites. It all depends on what the admissions staff is looking for. Your chances are great for all of your schools, some obvioulsy safetys (not any of the Ivys), but remember that it doesnt mean anything about you, if you are rejected at a certain college. THey might already have accepted too many white boys from Ohio with perfect SAT scores. Good luck, I am sure you will get into most of the schools.

Thank you for your nice words. I think that is about right. I don't think I've ever been called an overachiever before, so I take that as a big compliment.

I did get into one of my safties last week by the way: University of Michigan. Also, I just finished my best semester ever. My mid-year grades were well above my 9-11 average, even though it is not a difference in gpa because any A is considered a 4.0 at my school.
