chances = very good

you don't think the high school record will hurt me?
i was rejected rd last year...

others' thoughts?

Tufts takes few transfers...so I wouldn't say very good, NO ONE has a very good shot, but you're competitive.

i definitely think you are competitive

Your HS GPA is fine. As a matter of a fact, it shows a lot of improvement and maturity going from a 3.0 (which frankly probably meant you were screwing around and not focused in high school) to a 3.8 or whatever it is. And the fact that you are doing this at Hamilton, which is on par with Tufts academically proves you will probably flourish in Medford, MA. It also helps that you applied coming out of high school; it shows genuine interest in their school. Hopefully your reasons for transferring are well articulated and legitimate. I think you have a much better chance than the majority of the applicant pool.

what about the midterm grades?

do you think they will be viewed as a sign of further improvement after high school or as a drop from the fall?
