Hi, I just completed my freshman year of high school. I know it’s a little too early to determine definite chances but I’m curious as of right now.

I have a 4.1W GPA. I will be graduating with 6-7 APs and 5 Honors. I am the S-6 (staff member) of my JROTC battallion, and by the end of my high school career I intend to be an even more significant member of staff. My extracurricular activities include JROTC Color Guard, the school newspaper, and JLAB Academic Bowl team (captain). I will be the president of the debate club next year.

I took the old SAT and achieved an 1800 but I will obviously be retaking the new one late this year; my score will likely be significantly higher due to prep.

I think that’s a good score for a freshman but it’s just too early to say. Look at Tulane’s common data set for 25 and 75 percentile scores by admitted students. You want to target the 75th percentile SAT/ACT.

I think 31/32 ACT gives you a solid shot with a top GPA and your ECs. If you happen to be a LA resident, they have guaranteed admission for a certain stat level (maybe 29 and 3.5? You would need to look it up.)

It sounds like you had a great freshman year and a great high school career ahead of you!

As long as you maintain that unbelievable GPA and improve those scores, I don’t see how you DONT get into Tulane!
