I’m a rising senior who lives in Washington. I’ve been looking at University of British Columbia and wondering if I could get in, and if there were any scholarships I could apply for.

GPA: 3.86
SAT: 1330/1600
ACT: 28, going to retake in the fall
EC: I’m on my school’s mock trial team, in the fall play and musical, play tennis, on quiz bowl, in National Honors Society, and I’m an Ambassador for my school.

For me University of British Columbia is closer than Washington State University, and it makes sense to be looking at it.

I want to major in Business/Economics and was wondering if I could get any good scholarships from UBC to offset the international students costs.

UBC offers merit scholarships to Americans but little or no need based aid.

I have a bunch of friends who go to UBC, and your application looks as good as if not better than theirs. SAT/ACT score doesn’t really matter in Canada, though. Your personal profile looks awesome, and UBC loves that.

UBC scholarships are notorious for sucking, though. I have a friend who went to SFU instead because it was way cheaper.
