Merit aid for internationals - stats from anyone?

I see that UBC-Vancouver offers a couple of merit aid scholarships for internationals, and I’m interested in finding out whether anyone on the CC forums has received one, and if so, what your admission stats were. I have some stats that are really good (4.0 unweighted GPA, National Merit Semifinalist, finalist at the Intel ISEF, two 800s on SAT IIs, 34 ACT), but one stat that is not so good (superscored 2190 on the SAT I, and only a few extracurriculars). Thanks in advance for any info!

Very limited support for international students, you really have to stand out both academically and in your extracurriculars to get anything substantial. The people I know with scholarships (and they’re Canadian) either scored a 44 IB (99.7 percentile) and ran international conferences or were saving small villages in Africa.

But hey, the tuition’s half price at least?

I agree with above. Very little support for international and even Canadians.
